Jamie Accashian in studio

About

Jamie has been a practicing printmaker, painter, collagist, and designer since she graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Illustration in 2013. She moved to Brooklyn, NY the same year and worked as a painter and manager at a small, but celebrated scenic backdrop company called Oliphant Studio. A favorite of the world’s most acclaimed portrait photographers and designers, she had the privilege of working on large projects for Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, and Vera Wang, among many others. After a stint in the corporate world, she relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2019 where she is currently a freelance artist and designer.

Her obsession with printmaking began in 2012 during an independent study in Rome, Italy, and she studied traditional Japanese woodblock printing upon returning to the US. This method has influenced her recent collection of hand-printed personal and home goods, where her goal is to forge beauty and tangible quality in every piece she produces.

She believes in creating well-made pieces in small batches, sourcing materials from other small businesses, and creating sustainably. Honoring the traditional methods of block printing and painting, she finds satisfaction in the tactile process and subtle variances of handmade goods. Jamie’s products boast vibrant colors, contemporary design, and lively patterns.
